At present he is doing research on the impact of different housing tenures and housing policy on the life circumstances of older people. He has also been working on energy poverty and its impact.


Research Areas

Alan has done research on a range of social policy issues. At present he is doing research on the impact of different housing tenures and housing policy on the life circumstances of older people. Most recently, Alan has been working on energy poverty and its impact. Alan is interested in the issue of urban marginality and how marginalised groups within the city respond to their situations.
